I’ve been putting off dealing with my inventory setup for way too long and I think I’ve finally reached that point where the frustration outweighs the effort it’s going to take to fix it. My little operation in Ajman has grown a lot faster than I expected over the past year and I’m still using the same “shove it wherever there’s space” system I started with when I was just packing a handful of orders a week. Now I’ve got boxes stacked in weird corners, I’m constantly buying supplies I forgot I already had, and every time I need to pack an order I feel like I’m going on a treasure hunt. I’ve been reading up on how to keep inventory organized and predictable because clearly what I’m doing isn’t working anymore and I need a proper system before things get even more out of control. Found a breakdown about how standardizing packaging types can actually make your whole storage and ordering process way more straightforward and I think that’s probably the direction I need to go instead of continuing to stock every random size and material that comes my way. Just need to work up the motivation to actually clear everything out and start fresh instead of continuing to deal with this mess day after day. Anyone else been through this kind of reorganization and can tell me it’s worth the short-term pain?
