Automation Tester

• 6 month contract ( extension highly likely )
• REMOTE ( with ability to visit the office in Oakbrook terrace )
• Interview will be in person- Looking for candidates living within 50 miles radius of Oakbrook
• Client is a well known healthcare insurance company

The candidate will design and execute automated test scripts for front end, API and backend testing, perform data validation using SQL, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
• Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and business analysts to define test strategies and create test plans
• Write and execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects using standard tools
• Perform data validation and backend testing using complex SQL scripts for data validation of a Data Warehouse / Data Lake containing multiple data sources.
• Automate and execute REST, SOAP, XML, JSON based API testing / web services
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.

Required Skills:

• Automation Tools: Selenium or similar
• Programming Languages: Java, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• API Testing: Experience with REST API automation using tools like Postman or other similar tools
• Data testing - Solid SQL expertise for data validation, ETL ( using Talend or any other tools) and database testing.
• Test Management Tools Qtest, JIRA, SQL server Management studio or similar test management tools.
• CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, or similar tools.
• Healthcare Domain: Understanding of healthcare insurance workflows, claims processing, and regulatory compliance.
• Testing Methodologies: Agile/Scrum experience, knowledge of SDLC and STLC.

Preferred:

• Performance testing experience (JMeter).
• Exposure to cloud platforms Azure - Azure synapse
