About the Role
The Company is in search of a Controller and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial and compliance activities, particularly in the context of the firm's upcoming co-mingled fund. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, accounting, payroll, and treasury functions, ensuring the preparation of financial statements in line with GAAP, and maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance. The Controller and CCO will also be tasked with creating and enhancing internal financial controls, managing financial audits, and serving as the primary contact for the third-party fund administrator and regulatory bodies. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or CFA being preferred. A minimum of 7 years' experience in private equity, asset management, or a similar financial services environment is required, along with a strong knowledge of SEC regulations, RIA compliance, and accounting principles. The role demands proficiency in financial reporting software and compliance management tools, as well as the ability to develop, implement, and maintain the firm's compliance policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be adept at conducting regular compliance training, testing, and risk assessments, and will have a proven track record in managing and tracking compliance-related findings and resolutions.
