Job Description

Digital Media Planner & Buyer

We are seeking a Digital Media Planner & Buyer to develop, manage, and implement digital media strategies for high-profile clients. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, deep understanding of multicultural audiences (with a preference for expertise in Asian American audiences), and hands-on experience across all digital media channels and platforms. The Digital Media Planner & Buyer will oversee the planning, buying, and execution of media campaigns tailored to specific client goals. Experience in verticals such as healthcare, pharma, automotive, casual dining, and CPG is highly valued.

Primary Responsibilities:

Media Buying & Planning:

  • Plan and execute media buys across display, video, social, OOH, audio, CTV, YouTube, and programmatic platforms.
  • Analyze campaign briefs to recommend media strategies that align with audience behavior and client objectives.
  • Leverage audience insights, market trends, and competitive analysis to build diverse media mixes and strategic plans.

Campaign Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day campaign execution and delivery, ensuring performance meets KPIs such as ROAS, CPM, and CTR.
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize creative, targeting, and bidding strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve campaign delivery issues promptly.
  • Deliver comprehensive post-campaign analyses and future recommendations to key stakeholders.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Collaborate closely with account management, brand, and strategy teams to ensure alignment between media plans and broader client goals.
  • Create detailed performance reports and actionable insights for both internal teams and clients.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations during client meetings and reviews.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Hands-on experience with DSPs, DMPs, and CDPs.
  • Familiarity with third-party ad servers such as DoubleClick and Sizmek for campaign tracking and reporting.
  • Stay current on privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on digital media strategies.

Research & Innovation:

  • Utilize tools like Nielsen, Comscore, and eMarketer to inform audience targeting and strategy development.
  • Stay ahead of digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, and platform innovations.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital media planning and buying, with a focus on integrated digital campaigns.
  • Experience targeting multicultural audiences; expertise in Asian American communities is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience optimizing campaign performance; proficiency with Google Analytics, Nielsen, Excel, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated success in budget management and media performance optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to both internal teams and clients.
