Job Title: Estimator – Commercial Interiors

Position Summary:

We are seeking a General Contracting Estimator who will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for interior-focused construction projects. This role will collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate bids that reflect project scope and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for commercial interior projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for trades such as drywall, ceilings, flooring, millwork, glazing, painting, MEP coordination, and finishes.
• Request, review, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Develop and maintain cost databases and historical pricing data.
• Prepare detailed scope sheets, bid packages, and pricing breakdowns.
• Participate in value engineering efforts and provide alternative cost-saving solutions.
• Assist in developing preliminary budgets and conceptual estimates during design phases.
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and subcontractor walk-throughs as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the project management team during handoff and project start-up.

Qualifications:

• 3–7 years of experience estimating commercial interior construction projects (office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods related to interior scopes.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
