The Senior Legal Manager will oversee a team of legal professionals, collaborate with other departments, and ensure that all legal aspects of the company's operations are managed efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Legal Strategy and Advice: Provide senior leadership with advice on legal issues related to real estate investments, development projects, property management, and transactions. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, leases, development agreements, and joint venture agreements. Due Diligence: Oversee legal due diligence processes for real estate acquisitions and sales, ensuring that all risks are identified and mitigated. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws, zoning regulations, and environmental standards. Monitor and interpret new and evolving real estate laws. Litigation Management: Manage and coordinate legal disputes, including working with external counsel on litigation matters related to real estate issues. Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to minimize exposure for the company in real estate transactions and operations. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior legal staff, providing guidance and training in real estate law and best practices. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, development, and operations teams to ensure legal alignment on all projects and transactions. Document Management: Maintain and organize legal documents related to real estate projects, including title documents, permits, and contracts. External Legal Counsel Liaison: Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other professional service providers, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality legal support. 1.
