We are seeking a motivated and results-driven mid-Level Business Development Representative (BDR) to take ownership of outbound lead generation focusing on cold outreach strategies to drive high-value opportunities into the pipeline. This role will help shape the future of our BDR team by establishing best practices and processes. While building relationships with prospective clients, you'll be collaborating with the marketing and sales teams to drive revenue growth. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with some sales experience who is eager to advance their career in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead Generation: Proactively identify and research potential customers through outbound calls, emails, social media outreach (e.g., LinkedIn), and other channels.
- Qualification: Engage with prospects to assess their needs, qualify leads based on established criteria, and determine if Zoho's software solution is a fit.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized and up-to-date pipeline of leads and opportunities in the CRM system. (Zoho CRM)
- Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives to hand off qualified opportunities and provide detailed insights to ensure a smooth transition.
- Customer Outreach: Conduct discovery calls and webinars to educate prospects about our software's value proposition and benefits.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer pain points.
- Goals & Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for lead generation, meetings booked, and opportunities created.
- Lead Nurturing: Develop and nurture early-stage relationships with prospects to establish trust and credibility.
- Events: Attend local and regional events, as needed, to build relationships with the target account list.
- Experiment: Be creative with how you reach out and try new outreach strategies that build pipeline.
Qualifications: - Experience: 4 or more years of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role, preferably in the software or technology sector.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Proven ability to generate leads and manage a sales/marketing pipeline.
- Critical thinking and understanding of audience segmentation and marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales automation platforms.
- Comfortable with cold calling, emailing, and leveraging social selling techniques.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation: The salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year. Permanent employees are offered competitive pay and a full suite of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as a company-sponsored 401k. Please note, this is not a remote position.
