Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the scenic Shoals. On your days off spend some time fishing and boating on Wilson Lake. Department/Unit Summary

Endoscopy Services at North Alabama Medical Center primarily functions as an outpatient center, although inpatient services are provided on a 24/7 basis. Our team of Endoscopy trained RNs and techs work together to provide you with warmth, comfort, safety and support during your visit with us.

We have easy access with outpatient parking at the back of the hospital, and our own family lobby with updates frequently to our Patient Tracking system. For our dedicated physicians that may refer you to our facility, we have 4 Video Procedure rooms, along with 15 preparation/recovery bays in our new unit. For Specialty Procedures- (ERCP/ Navigational Bronchoscopy) we also have a dedicated Special Procedures room with large display monitors showing procedure as well as radiology images simultaneously.

How you’ll contribute

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include: 

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. 
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • BSN required

What you will do

  • Accountable for 24-hour, day to day operations of the patient care unit(s) to include accountability for quality patient care, nursing staff performance and evaluation, budget development and management, and staff development.
  • Required to demonstrate the ability to assess patient's age, specific needs and provide appropriate care according to the units policies and procedures.
  • Promotes collaborative practice with other departments, physicians, and schools of nursing, and exhibits the ability to work with others, to find solutions to difficult technical or administrative problems.
