Are you a dedicated Hospitalist passionate about providing high-quality, inpatient care to Veterans in a dynamic teaching environment? The  VA Caribbean Healthcare System (San Juan VA Medical Center)is seeking  Board-Certified Hospitalists (Internal Medicine)to join our team in  San Juan, Puerto Rico . • Serve as the  primary consultant for the Emergency Department (main role).
• Manage  medical step-down units (in-person).
• Cover  hospital wards (less frequent) and lead  rapid response teams 24/7 .
• Predictable Schedule:
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (24-hour practice coverage).
• Structured yet flexible to ensure work-life balance.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Board-Certified in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine (required).
• Experience in inpatient/acute care settings (preferred).
• Fluent in Spanish (essential for patient care).
• Strong teamwork & leadership skills —must thrive in a  teaching hospital environment.
