Overview: The Triad Hospitalist (full time, part time, and/or relief) is responsible for providing exceptional care to Cone Health patients and fulfilling all clinical duties.
Responsibilities: Provides multidisciplinary team coordination within assigned areas. Mentors Cone Health residents and students as needed. Uses independent judgment in diagnosing and treating patients, developing treatment plans, and guiding the interdisciplinary team (including advanced practice providers) to meet patient care goals. Upholds professional standards of MCHS, including Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations, and professional image. Participates in medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and investigations related to professional care standards. Engages in continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practices aiming for outcomes in the 90th percentile or above. Maintains records per MCHS policies, laws, and regulations. Contributes to the development of clinical guidelines and procedures to enhance care quality and efficiency. Shares designated on-call responsibilities with other physicians in the assigned areas.
Qualifications: Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. North Carolina Medical License. North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
