Quant Developer:
On behalf of our financial industry client, Procom is searching for a Quant Developer for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s New York, NY office.
Quant Developer - Job Description:
The Quant Developer will support the In-Business Market Risk MQA team, working closely with trading and in-business risk managers. The role involves developing and maintaining tools and infrastructure to manage market risk metrics and capital, focusing on new development and enhancement of current systems.
Quant Developer - Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain productionized analytical tools, applications, and infrastructure, including AI-powered apps.
• Develop well-structured, high-quality code and contribute to large-scale in-house Python libraries.
• Perform in-depth diagnosis of current market risk and capital models and processes.
• Partner with the business and other quant teams to propose and drive enhancements.
• Collaborate with traders to provide cost-benefit analysis and assist in business prioritization.
Quant Developer - Mandatory Skills:
• 6+ years of experience in quantitative development in the financial industry.
• Strong technical/programming skills in Python and C++.
• Experience with collaborative code development using Git/Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with SQL and experience working with large datasets.
• Skilled in data cleaning, transformation, and processing using Python libraries such as pandas and numpy.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Quant Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks like Angular and visualization tools like Tableau.
• Understanding of commonly used market risk metrics and methods such as VaR and stress testing.
Quant Developer – Assignment Length:
This is a contract position.
