Job Description

A nonprofit organization in New York City is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Recruiter to their team. In this role, the Recruiter will be responsible for working closely with Hiring Managers to understand their staffing needs, source and screen potential candidates, coordinate interviews, extend offers, and ensure a smooth -on-boarding process.

***This is a Remote opportunity; however, the qualified professional must be local to Manhattan and be able to commute to job fairs occasionally***

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to extending job offers and on-boarding
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Utilize an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to maintain accurate and organized candidate records
  • Proactively source candidates through job postings, outreach, networking, and partnerships with community organizations
  • Conduct initial phone screens and coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing clear communication and timely follow-ups
  • Maintain compliance with hiring policies and procedures while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the hiring process
  • Assist with recruitment reporting and analytics to track hiring metrics and improve processes

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in high-volume Recruitment for Social Services, Security, Operations, or related roles
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines and hiring workflows
  • Strong ability to build relationships with Hiring Managers, candidates, and external partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
