The Investigational Drug Services (IDS) Pharmacist will be responsible for the provision and oversight of pharmacotherapy for research patients. The IDS Pharmacist will work collaboratively with members of the research team. The focus for this position is the support of clinical trial research conducted by the University of Miami. Core job functions include monitoring and supervising the intravenous admixture program, preparation and monitoring of chemotherapeutic and investigational intravenous therapies, ensuring accurate preparation and delivery of injectable chemotherapy and other medications, reviewing patient profiles and new orders to prevent drug interactions and contraindications, maintaining appropriate records and inventory, providing drug information to healthcare professionals and patients, managing investigational drug products and records, performing clinical medication order review and verification, preparing and dispensing investigational drugs, ensuring product accuracy and integrity, serving as a drug information resource, counseling patients, training and supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Pharmacy Services. Core qualifications include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Florida Registered Pharmacist license, minimum 1 year relevant pharmacy experience, with post-graduate residency and specialty certification preferred.
