Overview

Title: ServiceNow GRC Independent Advisor / Consultant

Location: NYC, NY (Onsite)

Mode of Hire: Contract

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate design options proposed by the implementation partner for each workstream in ServiceNow GRC (IRM, BCM, TPRM).
• Assess alignment with ServiceNow out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities and platform best practices.
• Recommend minimal-configuration alternatives where applicable to meet business objectives.
• Endorse optimal solutions where proposed configurations are justified and efficient.
• Analyze and provide feedback on functional and technical design documents.
• Identify customization risks and deviations from ServiceNow standards.
• Benchmark implementation strategies against industry and ServiceNow GRC best practices.
• Evaluate solution scalability, sustainability, and upgrade readiness.
• Deliver executive-ready summaries with actionable recommendations.
• Participate in stakeholder review sessions to explain findings and proposed alternatives.
• Provide support during decision-making processes related to key design and architecture choices.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, with a strong focus on GRC/IRM, BCM, and TPRM modules
• Proven track record advising on OOTB vs. customized solution approaches; deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and upgrade lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to independently review and critique SI/partner deliverables
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist GRC
• Excellent communication skills, including executive-level report writing and presentations
• Prior experience supporting or reviewing large-scale SI-led implementations
• Exposure to financial services or other highly regulated industries (preferred)
