We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Campbell, Ohio. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, journal entries, and other financial records to ensure precise reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and intercompany transactions, to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in developing budgets and forecasts, offering insights through variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and policy-compliant transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary entries and adjustments.
• Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide documentation and schedules required for audits, collaborating with auditors as needed.
• Work closely with departments such as payroll, tax, and operations to streamline financial processes.• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or similar roles; internships or co-op experience may be considered for entry-level candidates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications, along with familiarity in accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to meet deadlines effectively.
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles and basic tax regulations.
• Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation is a plus.
• Ability to manage journal entries and general ledger processes with accuracy.
