What You'll Do

The Workday Security Analyst is a key member of the Identity and Access Management team, responsible for managing security across Financial, Human Capital, and Supply Chain applications. This role ensures secure user access, role configuration, and compliance with audit standards, while supporting integrations between Workday and external systems. It requires strong cross-functional collaboration, deep knowledge of Workday security frameworks, and a proactive approach to safeguarding sensitive data and mitigating risks across HR, IT, and audit functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure Business Process Security Policies and Domain Securities across functional areas including HCM, FIN, and SCM and reporting
  • Define role-based and user-based security, and align with functional SMEs to ensure business processes reflect the agreed upon roles
  • Serve as the security SME across the Workday Platform, and other functional modules.
  • Define and maintain Enterprise security strategy, including role-based and user-based access models.
  • Develop and enforce governance policies for access control, SoD, and data confidentiality.
  • Oversee role assignments, access provisioning, and troubleshooting for complex user scenarios.
  • Evaluate and process requests for elevated access in alignment with compliance protocols.
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual access reviews in collaboration with Compliance and HR.
  • Manage access to Workday-delivered and custom reports, dashboards, and data sources.
  • Apply data masking, row-level security, and Workday report tags to protect sensitive data.
  • Partner with reporting teams to ensure secure self-service access and support audit requests.
  • Collaborate with integration developers to secure EIBs, Workday Studio integrations, and APIs.
  • Ensure all outbound and inbound integrations follow security protocols and encryption standards.
  • Evaluate upcoming Workday releases for security impacts and participate in regression testing.
  • Partner with functional teams to validate security policies after configuration updates.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for security configurations, system access, and integration mappings.
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • Workday Pro Certification in Security, Integrations, Reporting, and/or HCM. -OR -Must obtain and pass certification within 6 months of hire (company-sponsored with 2 years commit agreement).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing user access and application permissions in enterprise systems
  • Clean driving record

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information systems, Cybersecurity, HRIS, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Workday or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security domains, role-based access, and BP security policies.
  • Experience supporting healthcare or regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
