Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has current opening for a **Flight Inspector 3/4** . This role will be based out of the **Edwards AFB, CA** site and be filled at either a Level 3 or 4, based on experience and qualifications. This Inspector's duties include: + Inspect demonstrator and production aircraft systems, equipment and parts for operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications. + Inspects the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft. + Perform preflight and postflight inspections in accordance with standard procedure on flight-proven aircraft. + Approves non-flight-proven aircraft for flight. + Inspects, adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the aircraft. + May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. **Basic Qualifications Level 3:** + High School diploma with at least 4 years' experience in aerospace with emphasis in aircraft manufacturing and quality assurance OR an associate's degree with at least 2 years in aerospace with emphasis in aircraft manufacturing and quality assurance + Must be capable of performing mechanical measurement, test witness, processing of nonconforming material into the MRB and verification of reworked or repaired product + Must be capable of obtaining Periodic Review and Material Review Board Authority for Non-Conformance documentation, disposition, and processing + **Must have active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to starting** + Must be able to pass medical/respiratory exams + Must be able to work in confined spaces and stand for long periods of time + Must have the ability to work any shift **Basic Qualifications Level 4:** + High School diploma with at least 6 years' experience in aerospace with emphasis in aircraft manufacturing and quality assurance OR an associate's degree with at least 4 years in aerospace with emphasis in aircraft manufacturing and quality assurance + Must be capable of performing mechanical measurement, test witness, processing of nonconforming material into the MRB and verification of reworked or repaired product + Must be capable of obtaining Periodic Review and Material Review Board Authority for Non-Conformance documentation, disposition, and processing + **Must have active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to starting** + Must be able to pass medical/respiratory exams + Must be able to work in confined spaces and stand for long periods of time + Must have the ability to work any shift **Preferred Qualifications:** + 8+ years' experience working with production, flight test, and engineering + An A&P license is a plus + Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to all levels of leadership Salary Range: $70,400.00 - $117,400.00Salary Range 2: $83,600.00 - $139,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
