Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the daily operations within our steel fabrication facility in Trenton, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the steel/construction industry, with proven expertise in managing production, ensuring quality control, and implementing efficient operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the overall operations of the steel manufacturing plant.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, operators and office staff.
- Oversee inventory management and coordinate with supply chain operations.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the steel and/or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and production processes and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in operational analysis and problem-solving.
